ENDURA-FLEX® Products

ENDURA-FLEX® 1990

EF-1990 is a 100% solids, multi-component elastomeric polyurethane exhibiting a combination of exceptional chemical inertness, elongation and UV resistance. It retains exceptional flexibility even at low temperatures. EF-1990 is fire-resistant and was specifically designed to contain hydrocarbons and other aggressive chemicals such as sulphuric acid and hexane. Pinhole-free applications are possible with multi-pass spray applications which allow the cellular product to encapsulate displaced air.

EF-1990 offers excellent corrosion, abrasion, and chemical resistance while retaining flexibility. EF-1990 meets and exceeds the guidelines of ERCB Directive 055 and is ideal for secondary containment in oilfield, industrial and municipal applications.

EF 1990 is a very versatile product and can be applied to many substances for a wide variety of uses. EF-1990 is often sprayed onto concrete, asphalt, steel, wood, geotextile and direct to earth. Primary uses are varied and include tank farms, compressors, and containment ponds.

ENDURA-FLEX® 1988

EF-1988 is designed for use in gaseous or liquid phase exposures found in water and waste water vessels. It is a specially formulated 100% solids, aromatic, MDI (recognized for its superior hydrolytic stability) elastomeric polyurethane coating/lining system for water and waste water applications. EF-1988 is applied as a fluid via airless proportioning equipment.  The result is a seamless monolithic pinhole free lining for the protection of all types of concrete and steel. Pinhole-free applications are possible with multi-pass spray applications which allow the cellular product to encapsulate displaced air.

EF-1988 is self priming on concrete or steel surfaces that are clean, dry and etched. EF-1988’s adhesion to concrete exceeds the cohesive strength of concrete. EF-1988 exceeds industry standards of adhesive strength to abrasive blasted steel.

EF-1988 is commonly used to protect concrete or steel and rehabilitate deteriorated concrete substrates.  EF-1988 is used for potable water, clarifiers, digesters, sedimentation basins, chlorine contact or aeration basins and sewer manholes, pipe or penstock.

ENDURA-FLEX® Reaction Bonded Urethane

EF-RBU - Protective Pipe Coating System is a product of the ecosystem patented gas injection process resulting in verifiably improved performance properties which has shown to have superior barrier performance when compared to polymer films from other methods. RBU is a fluid applied, rapid setting, solventless polyurethane coating known for its superior hydrolytic stability and tough yet flexible protective barrier film properties.

EF-RBU - shows excellent adhesion to fusion bonded epoxy and is used effectively on the exterior or interior surfaces of steel or concrete pipe. Film thicknesses may vary from an efficient ‘general use thickness’ or an economical extra thickness for aggressive back fill, slip-bore (pipe push) applications and demanding areas such as rough terrain, marshy or  muskeg areas, freeze thaw exposures.

RBU application versatility allows for application either in-plant or in-situ with the respective economies available from each method.  Quality conscious weld joint coating and field repair methods are available for continuous “same system” use from beginning to end of project.
