FAQs

Do ENDURA-FLEX® – Polyurethane coatings comply with ERCB Directive 055?
Yes, the ENDURA-FLEX® – Polyurethane meets and exceeds all standards set forth in the ERCB Directive 055. This product is now specified in many major projects as it is the most efficient and economical means of providing secondary containment.
What is the lifespan of RMC coatings?
The lifespan of ENDURA-FLEX® – Polyurethane will vary depending on the use and treatment of the product, however you can expect 15 to 20 years of service from our coatings.
Why choose a Polyurethane spray-on liner rather than a HDPE liner?
Spray-on liners are superior because they are more durable than their HDPE counterparts. A spray-on liner is less brittle and less likely to crack in low temperatures, is ideal for high traffic areas, does not require covering, is 100% UV resistant, and in the event of a spill allows for very easy and economical clean-up. ENDURA-FLEX® liners are a minimum of 100mils verses HDPE liners at 30 or 40 mils. Coatings can be sprayed at greater thickness for maximum durability.
Why is ENDURA-FLEX® – Polyurethane better than another spray-on coating?
The superior ENDURA-FLEX® product, combined with the patented Ecosystem application process, PROVIDES A SEAMLESS MONOLITHIC PINHOLE FREE LINING FOR PROTECTION OF ALL TYPES OF CONCRETE AND STEEL.  We are the only Canadian company licensed to use this patented expansion technique.
When can normal work resume after the coating is applied?
Polyurethane coatings are applied at high temperatures; chemically set within 15 seconds, dry within 20 minutes, can be walked on in one (1) hour and are fully cured and ready for regular activity within 24 hours.
What colours are available?
Virtually any color is available by adding color tints to the product. The base colour is white and remains the most popular color but many shades of grey and yellow are frequently used.  Of course marine blue is used for special aesthetic applications, such as for swimming pools and aquatic enclosures.
If we do have a spill, how difficult is it to clean up?
We hope you never have a spill, but the seamless liner and durable surface allows for an extremely easy clean–up. The liner can be washed with pressure washers and the spilled material quickly and efficiently removed with vacuum trucks. As the ENDURA-FLEX® – Polyurethane coatings do not require covering with gravel or sand there is no contaminated material to dispose of.
Can the ENDURA-FLEX® – Polyurethane liner be applied in cold temperatures?
Yes, many successful coating applications have been completed at temperatures as low as -20C. Other products are often too brittle to be installed in severe weather conditions.
What other services do you supply?
We provide a wide range of service to facilitate the management of diverse project requirements. Our collaborative on-site design service enables us to provide innovative solutions such as; slip resistant and more durable sand injected coatings, corrugated steel containment rings, crossover ladders, Skidsteers, trenching, sandblasting and the supply and installation of portable air inflated structures that create an ideal working environment for spray on coating in all weather conditions.
Are you able to access remote sites?
Many containment sites are remote and we are fully equipped and prepared for such locations.  Our 4X4 trucks can deliver the technologically advanced 35 ft. trailer to most sites. In extreme cases or conditions provisions are made for special trucking or helicopter drop off of our portable units that allow access to any locations.
